2025 Summer Reading at
North Branford Public Libraries

let your creativity take flight
Saturday June 7th – Friday August 1st

 
This summer is going to be oozing the arts with our “Color Our World” summer reading theme. Children will have the opportunity to express their artistic side with our Color Our World Summer Reading Journal that is jam packed with inspiration. Both libraries will be hosting hands-on programming, offsite events and sharing plenty of stories that will inspire creativity. So, put on your artistic cap and get ready for the fun to begin!
 
Our Summer Reading Kick-off will take place on
Saturday June 7
from 1PM to 3:30PM
at Atwater Memorial Library


Head on over to take part in music, crafts and games provided by our community partners for the entire family.

Color Our World Summer Reading sign-ups will also take place.

Color Our World Reading Program

This summer is going to be bursting with color and you are invited. Sign up for our summer reading program which includes a Color Our World Reading Journal that is filled to the brim with creative challenges.

How To Participate:

  • Head to either location (Atwater or Smith) to receive your Coloring Reading Journal.
  • Take on our reading challenge, which asks you to read 20mins a day.
  • Receive small prizes at different intervals to keep you motivated.
  • Once you read a total of 1,000 mins you will receive 5 raffle tickets to go towards any of the prizes listed below.
  • Complete our creative challenges to receive additional raffle tickets for the prizes listed below.
  • You can also earn raffle tickets by taking part in our children’s summer events (storytimes are excluded).
  • Ask us about our Coloring Reading Journal curated especially for those in Pre-K and under.
