In the spring of 2023 the Town of North Branford was awarded the Connecticut Urban Forest Council’s small grant to remove a large portion of Tree of Heaven and other invasive species, from the Smith Library lawn. This area was replanted with the native trees listed below in order to create shade, beautify the property and help support biodiversity.
