The East Shore District Health is your local health department. The department is committed to improving community health and well-being through public programming and extensive medical information.

ESDHD Mission:

To provide committed leadership in order to improve the health and well-being of all people. Utilizing results-based policies and programs, we work to prevent disease and injury and to respond to public health challenges for present and future generations.

ESDHD Public Services:

The Environmental Health team works to prevent illness and disease caused by environmental threats. This is accomplished through permitting and inspections of buildings, septic systems, food vendors and more. The department also supplies public nursing and health programs which include immunization clinics and health screenings. ESDHD also works as a referral service for those that need assistance with mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, housing, food insecurity and disability services.
